the last display

Please excuse the glare in the mannequin photos. There isn't much space in the front display. Whatever the matter, this is my last front display at Plato's! It was a fun display to take on but very difficult. I'm not one for wobbly ladders and strange display hooks and appliances but it was worth it. For the display I did the "stages" of spring/summer. First your pastels and florals. Next, some swimsuits. Then, some very bright colors mixed together. Lastly nautical, picnic and 4th of July themes. Across the entire display are shorts, in all sizes. Underneath the denim shorts, I displayed gladiator sandals in an array of colors. For each mannequin I incorporate denim or blue piece. They are great ensembles for picnics, music festivals, beach bonfires or a just warm day. This will be my last month at Plato's, it's very bitter sweet. Sorry for the lack of blogging lately, I went north for the weekend and left my computer charger in the wall in Indianapolis. No bueno. Much more this week, promise!

∆ SANDWICH SHOP DAY

Vintaged Blazer/ Reebok Gray T-shirt/ Heritage 1981 Denim Shorts/ Forever 21 Oxford Loafers/ Vintage Faux Leather Bag/ Vintaged Silver Bracelet

Sandwich shop day was maaaarvelous. Sandwich shop is my dark headed mate in the photos above. We visited the IMA today and ate lunch at George Town Market. To my dismay the Textiles and Fashion Arts exhibit was not open at the IMA. Just a good excuse to visit again!

oddities

Photos displayed above paint a pretty accurate portrait of my week. Yes, my Starbucks coffee, instructed me to be "bold". Spinach, pineapple, feta, red onion pizza is the best. Next, time I'm putting hummus on it. Lastly, do you ever notice how strange people stand sometimes? Or how good old books smell? Take note of these oddities in life. They're awesome.
